i've been taking 30-40ml of 10PPM EIS daily now for a year; if it were true that it destroyed the good gut bacteria, i'd expect to be ill frequently (as much of the immune system stems from those good gut bacteria) and feeling shitty, as mood is associated with the health of the microbiome, too.

in fact i haven't been ill since starting this protocol, and find no changes in mood. as Abeland notes, unfortunately there aren't any studies done on this, but at least in my anecdotal case, it doesn't seem to be true that taking a little EIS daily has any negative effect.

my next "see what else EIS is good for" experiment is going to be with preserving food. 2% salt preserves everything from cabbage (sauerkraut) to plums, so i'm going to have a go with no salt but entirely EIS.

The thread’s purpose was, and remains, an effort to provide accurate, honest, and non-commercial information to those interested in making the most effective form of colloidal Silver.
The biggest problem with colloidal Silver is its name. If we call something colloidal, it merely means that it is held in suspension. For example, milk is colloidal butterfat. As it is homogenized, the fat particles will tend to stay in suspension because the particles have been agitated to the point where they are small enough to not combine and rise to the top.
Now, what does this have to do with making colloidal Silver? It’s not hard to understand why we want the smallest possible particles of Silver. Let’s face it. We don’t want any more metal of any kind in our body other than what we need to stay well or heal a wound or infection. For a given total weight of the metal, small particles will result in a much greater surface area than large particles. For Silver to affect the microbe, it has to come into contact with that microbe. For the sake of simplicity, let’s consider our particles as spheres. If our particle is 100 nm in diameter, it will weigh the same as about 10,000 1 nm particles. What would have a better chance of getting to the bacteria we want to kill? 10,000 or one?

It has been some 30 years since I suggested using current limiting and a laser pointer to make colloidal silver. Before that time, the accepted method was using two silver coins, three nine-volt batteries, and a dash of salt. A watchful eye to stop the process when it had a yellow tint was essential. The trick was to stop the process before the water turned into black gunk. At this time, a man who claimed he was a retired oncologist selling vitamin supplements introduced the use of a fish tank bubbler. That worked to the extent that it prevented the runaway condition that caused the problems with the three nine-volt setup. Electricity cannot flow through an air bubble, so the current path was constantly interrupted by bubbles' flow between the electrodes. This guy became very popular, sold many people a vitamin subscription, and made money. I understand that he was later arrested and jailed for mail fraud. This method is still very popular as it does work, at least to the extent of preventing the rapid formation of black sludge. He also told people not to use salt to give him credit. This method was not as quick as the three nine volts, which meant it took more time, but people didn't mind so much because they could always watch the bubbles. I saw a YouTube the other day where a person was using this method and a laser pointer to indicate when to stop the process as the particles have been made.

There is a problem with this. As there is no current limiting device, i.e., "resistor" in the circuit, the current during the time between bubbles will not be limited. The particles leaving the silver anode will be in relatively large chunks. The scattering effect of coherent light causes the laser line to form in the solution. The amount of light reflected is not directly proportional to the size of the particle. For instance, a particle 10 nm in size will only reflect 1/1000 the amount of light as a particle 100 nm. Therefore, using this method to determine when to stop the process will cause the process to end when a relatively small number of rather large particles are in solution, which is just the opposite of what we want.

ha. you're welcome, arnold. i've just cleared a cold in 3 days, rather than the normal week, by nebulizing EIS for a few hours during the first day i was ill. nebulizers are a great way to get EIS to the source of the infection.

i slightly hesitate to say this, as i have great respect for all that you do regarding silver, but; in order to gain an even wider audience for your work, i think a different avatar might not hurt your cause. while i can certainly understand how you feel regarding humanity, you have been blessed with both intelligence and a secure family environment when young...not all are so lucky. you know that line about being kind, because everyone is fighting a hard battle?
