we have grass fires all the time, one of my horses, who was munching in the back yard like always feel over
he is fine now

Grass fires have been started but chainsaws, tow trucks dragging chains it is crazy

Not to be a one upper but we beat you guys a long time ago here in North Texas!!!! if Texas CONTINUES TO BE DRY this winter....We ARE IN FOR REAL DOOM!!!!!! NOOOOOOO SHIT FOLKS!!! Im not kidden we will run out of water millions without running water will not be good..Im stocking up an big tanks right now over 3k gallons so far and im not sure it could be enough for my family and cattle...Ohhh well

there is something very estrange going on in houston. I will bet my top dollar that tptb has a little to do with this years weather. as any houstonion can see we are bombarded by chemtrails daily. strange too are the days when the sky is dark with rain clouds yet it does not rain. i want the hell out of houston asap. this beast is a ticking bomb.

A 3k tank for water storage is like bare bones minimum for two people and no cattle. This is what we used in Arizona when we had a well (albeit a slow one) and we would occasionally run out of water and have to have a tank hauled in to fill us up.

Eventually I had four 7500 gallon tanks (yes, they're huge) buried and connected to the well. We also had a rainwater catchment system installed for the monsoon season when we could capture thousands of gallons in a few minutes.

The filtering and reverse osmosis system for the entire house was about four thousand dollars back then. Our well pump went out and it was three weeks before they could get the new one in. We didn't run out of water. And we didn't need hauled water either. Felt like a minor miracle and justified the investment in water storage and water treatment for us. I sold the house years back and the people who bought it have had plenty of water (drinkable, clean, filtered and R/O treated water) since the day they moved in. Changing the pre-and post filters and the RO system filters is about $180 per year and it's paint by number. You can easily do that yourself.

I'd love to set up a rainwater catchment system, but even if we did, what good would it do me now, as we'd have to wait for the rainy season.

Plus I don't have room for that much storage.

Not to mention we're not allowed to drill wells inside the city limits.

This is impressing upon me the need to be further out than our tiny town is.

Would love to have a similar set up in the future though.
