Many of us have suffered at the hands of christianity, and the lies the bible tells about God.

For thousands of years, between judaism and christianity, many have been tortured, murdered, and enslaved thanks to these religions.

In the modern age, we have been separated from a genuine, real relationship with the real God by the lies the bible tells. The bible portrays love as rape, abuse, and aggression. It portrays God as a monster who murders, commands murder, and in general is a vicious thing with no moral fiber... from whom we needed to be "saved", and the only thing that could "save" us from this beast who wants to murder and burn and torture us, was the DEATH of a human being-slash-godman.

Whose flesh we are to pretend to eat, and whose blood we must pretend to drink.

You have a specific view of the bible, but more and more of us are realizing that we do not have that view of it. We want our heritage and our culture and our relationship with God back.

It isn't about you, it is about the terrible, horrific suffering that christianity (at the urging of the bible) has wrought upon this world and upon some of us personally and directly.

I have never claimed that throughout history Christianity is perfect, Christianity has not been as history can recount. I may be a Christian of a different color because while I follow the Biblical teachings, my relationship with God is very personal and it is my own relationship formed with my own belief system and interpretation of the word.

I don't know what belief system is right, I don't know that any of us do. I do believe that we need to have faith in something, someone and for me that someone/something is God, for someone else it may be Buddha and for another it may be Paganism or Wicca. I am not here to judge anyone's belief system nor to tell anyone that mine is any better than theirs. I am not your stereo typical Christian in that manner.

I have had many instances of suffering, loss and grief in my life. I have always used those experiences for growth as a person and to better myself. I have never lashed out against God for them. That is just a little personal bit about me though ;)

Thank you for your candor and for sharing something so personal with me. While others may try to cast your belief system down and judge you, I will welcome your friendship :) We need to learn from each other and support each other. The world is in a horrible place right now and now more than ever we need to have open, safe conversations amongst ourselves where we can be free to share without being labeled and put down due to our choices.

LOL, i'm not your stereo typical Christian. I don't force my religion or God down others throats and am open to understanding others views. When TSHTF all we have is each other and our version of God so we need to embrace each other and not let our different belief systems get in the way of that. The world is falling about because more people aren't capable of doing this. It's sad.

I understand your theory and belief in yourself. I can only speak for myself and I know that I am not perfect, nor do I try to be. I am just me. Take me or leave me, love me or hate, this is what you get. What is important at the end of the day is that i'm right with (in my religion) God. I try to treat others with respect, do good will for others, and be a loving soul. I do openly share the word of God with others but don't force it on them. :)

Our feelings are legitimate. I believe that they are so much harder to express in part because "I am angry at this book" doesn't seem to make sense to most people. They don't understand the extensive harm that can come from "a book".

There's no one to be directly angry at, no one we can express our feelings to, because the people around us, a. don't want to know and aren't comfortable hearing/seeing our anger; and b. do not see it the way we do and thus tell us that our anger is not legitimate because THEY cannot relate to it.

You have a right to be angry. And it's right to be angry at evil, especially when it has brought suffering into our lives.

No one would say these things to you if you were angry about pedophilia or rape... because those are sources of pain that they understand and condone being angry about.

Your anger is just as legitimate, whether people understand that or not.
