Our feelings are legitimate. I believe that they are so much harder to express in part because "I am angry at this book" doesn't seem to make sense to most people. They don't understand the extensive harm that can come from "a book".

There's no one to be directly angry at, no one we can express our feelings to, because the people around us, a. don't want to know and aren't comfortable hearing/seeing our anger; and b. do not see it the way we do and thus tell us that our anger is not legitimate because THEY cannot relate to it.

You have a right to be angry. And it's right to be angry at evil, especially when it has brought suffering into our lives.

No one would say these things to you if you were angry about pedophilia or rape... because those are sources of pain that they understand and condone being angry about.

Your anger is just as legitimate, whether people understand that or not.
