Very informative post OP! It's in chronological order and easy to follow. I'll keep this in my favourites, and use as a reference.
I do have a couple of questions for you.
Where do we look, in the sky to see Honda right now?
Is there any reliable data on the debris fields of Elenin and YU55? i.e. sand and gravel sized debris, or rock and boulder sized debris.
Both deris fields at the same time, makes for the potential of a lot of debris!

I don't think they really know. I've looked, but I can't find any good source. Might be a good meteor shower.

[link to en.wikipedia.org] A meteor shower is the result of an interaction between a planet, such as Earth, and streams of debris from a comet.

Honda as of today between Neptune and Pluto, pretty close to the ecliptic. < [link to ssd.jpl.nasa.gov]

The Leonid meteor shower is caused by 55P/Tempel–Tuttle which is 1.8 km in diameter.

Perseid meteor shower is caused by the tail of 109P/Swift–Tuttle which is 26 km in diameter.

YU55 is only 400 meters in diameter.

Leonid Elenin, estimates that Elenin's nucleus is 3–4 km in diameter. So there might be more debris from Elenin than YU55. [link to en.wikipedia.org]
