In India these kind of strange body anomalies are usually praised rather than ridiculed. So don't feel too bad, OP. Also, it doesn't seem like his life would be more difficult because of his condition.

Seems to be a lot of that in India - extra limbs and such. I had a friend in highschool that had 6 fingers on each hand, but she had them removed as a baby. She still had little stubs, though, that looked like warts. I want a polydactyl cat, though. They are just too cute with their little "thumbs."

it's a way of not facing their guilt and shame.

there is a REASON that this stuff happens so often in India, and they don't give a crap enough to figure out where it is coming from

but then what can you expect from a country that pretends to be so "spiritual" and yet still has child factory (slavery) jobs.

the whole stupid country runs on the theory of reincarnation and karma, so they figure the child is either being given a grand opportunity to pay off past karma b/c s/he is being groomed for an illustrious future life (kind of like "fast-tracking").. or they just assume the kid is from a lower caste and deserves his misery.

not to mention their "gods" usually have extra arms and shit...
