Neoconservatism is fascism rebranded.
It's built on three things:
1. Ultranationalism (blind "patriotism" and national supremecy)
2. Authoritarian "father figure"-style government role
3. Aggressive Imperialist foreign policy
The Ultranationalism is the key to the others. Once you can get people waving flags, you can get them to do anything. Hence 9/11. Hence all that followed.
Quoting: simultaneous_finalpatriotism and nationalism and imperialism, well, maybe, but depends on which country benefits. Notice that the US Never seems to benefit, yet another always does. HHmmmm... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1310640Like Grandpa's "fascism", today's "neoconservatism" is a corporation-serving and funded philosophy. No nations win. Only corporations. These days, multinational corporations wield influence over all nations thanks to the bought/sold media. In this sense, "neoconservatism" is something along the lines of "international fascism" or "super fascism" if you will. Supernationalism leads people to things that they would otherwise find unacceptable.
