Late night thoughts...

Take it as you will, but I was watching a Richard Hoagland video and I had a weird idea, which I've considered in the past. But what if life really is cyclical in some way, and that everything that is happening now, has happened before. I don't mean that in a alternate universe theory but that it actually happened here on earth before. Maybe we're just reliving our own Apocalypse? Maybe we just relive it in an attempt to relearn the faults of greed and war that has been our downfall before.

Maybe it's a little more simple than that; maybe we existed before, but in more simple times and had the same life, so to say. We are so materialistic nowadays, but maybe we were spiritual at one point and made the same mistakes and ended up destroying everything along those lines.

A pendulum comes mind, as that's what I was taught when i was in music school; the trends seems to swing from classical to romantic - this meaning, maybe we're swinging through technology like a pendulum and are in the romantic, or even classical era. Maybe the material, technological world is what we live in now and we're swinging into the other realm of spiritualism.
