Arrived: SAS Survival Handbook.

It really is a great book.

I highly suggest that everyone read it and keep a copy at home.

Practice the things in it too, if you have any opportunity.

It's not the end all of guides, but it's about as complete as any I've seen personally.

That is an excellent book. Have that as well as a copy of Camping & Wilderness Survival by Paul Tawrell which always accompanies us when we go camping. It is likewise jam packed with excellent survival info.

Yea, and printed out pages are harder to carry then a bound book. And an electronic version means crap if we dont have electricity.

But as someone said, better then nothing if you cant get the book.

I have the book.

I bought it for my son when he was about 8 years old,

I got my training in the army, but now we don't have military service anymore so I bought him this book.

It needs some guidance though for a kid, because it might be tempting to build deadly traps, just for fun...

But besides that it is really a must have book

Damn, pages 546-553 have a mix of earthquake survival. No joke!

Mentions rupture of sewers. Or septic systems.

My Kindle battery lasts a month so that should give me enough time to read it if the power goes out.

Had that book when i was a boy and yes, it does rule.

There is also a small Collins Gem basic version of this book, ideal for packing in with all your survival gear as the full version would be a bit bulky.
