It's easy to grow too, a friend in Michigan mailed me a root and I doubted it would grow here in California, seemed to die last year but this spring it came back up and is flourishing! I use the new baby leaves -- sparingly! They're hot! -- in quiches and salads. I love it.

yep. spicy roots and such are very good for you.

We eat the root of this perennial plant; but yeah, related to the mustard plant, though we eat its seeds instead...

it's good as chelant for heavy metals and radiations, also against parasites

but...is also a strong thyroid depressor so must be used with attention

if you have thyroid problems or also eat corn, soy, other crucifers...better avoid it

Hmmm...about every other week I get a craving for horseradish sauce and baked potato, an egg and spinach. Eaten this combo all my life - don't know why - just LOVE it!

LOL...it will take over your whole yard. Better dig it up while it is still comparatively small and put it in a pot, unless you want a whole yard of horseradish.

I love it! I dip it, smear it, mix it, spread it, it is so good on almost everything. Crackers and butter and heaping horseradish, along with your salad. I have shared cuttings off of my plant with many. It helps with colds too among other things.
