Alpha Lipoic Acid. You are going to be hearing alot about this amazing compound in the coming years. I agree with most of your posts on ALA, but suggest that Dr Berkson's Triple Anti-oxidant regimen(ALA, silymarin & selenium) is supperior to ALA alone for treating liver disease. I'd be interested in knowing your reference to studies that show ALA regenerates nerve tissue.

OP, thanks for the info and do you happen to know whether ALA,glutathione and lipoic vitamin C is in any way helpful against glaucoma, as my eyepressure has recently gone up to round 30 instead of round 12 normal pressure, so there is the risk of becoming totally blind if unchecked ? Thanks anyway.
I believe e.g. ginko biloba, vitamin C and E, faty acid omega 3 and magnesium chloride could be useful against glaucoma.
These pharma eyedrops often contain a preservative, that actually harms your vision, quite ridiculous if you think about it.

yep, good stuff. I'm a type 1 diabetic for 50 years. This means my pancreas stopped working 50 years ago. It's not because I was fat, in fact I was way underweight. Type 1 is completely different than type 2. I have taken insulin shots for 50 years now

I first started taking ALA some 25 years ago for neuropathy, but I got tired of swallowing pills all day long. So, I got lazy with taking ALA

I had a open wound on my leg, very nasty, would not heal, very oozy. It was going to be hospital time real soon. So, I started taking 1200MG a day of ALA along with other vitamins.

DRAMATIC difference. It's healing up . Blood sugar is lower, insulin use is down.

This ALA will probably be banned soon..
