very busy overnight with almost 40 quakes over 3. including 2 4.3 and one 4.1.

Seems to be increasing once again

Two more over 4.
One of 4 and the other 4.3.

Where are all the posters who really seemed to understand and explain what was happening at El Hierro? Idgits and I Want To Believe (think that was the names ) are two i seem to recall.

none of them have returned, despite the situation being far graver than before, and much more in need of alerts. mama coop was one person i recall.

used to be a 3.0+ was big news, now its routine and many per day. this trend shows foreshocks increasing.
another 4.6- of which we had none in 2012 or 2011 as far as i remember

- The strong M4.6 earthquake had his epicenter at approx. 6 km out of the coast (thats closer than previous strong earthquakes).
- Hypocenters show a tendency to become shallower again (17 km), with a few shallower ones.
- The seismic active area is still below a relatively flat seabed but the distance to the submarine volcanic hills is gradually decreasing.

The sismic movement comes in waves on #ElHierro Last night 3 >M4 and multiples >M3 quakes recorded. GPS recorded deformations up to 12cm.

there's some talk at VC that a mag 5 might be possible. the chart will just totally blank out if that happens at the scale it's recording

look, activity is important and all that. But please just start a thread when the damn thing blows sky high.
Its really what happens with reporting on every other volcano.

I dont see why El Hierro should get so much pre-eruption coverage.
