There is just too much conspiracy in this movie which may related to current events or not, depending on your viewpoint, BUT :

at Season 1 - Episode 17, around 24th minute, there is a part which we see for a few seconds on TV, there is demonstrators with Egypt ( or Syria ) flags, with Middle East Protests as headline, isn't that serie started on 2010 and is this just a coincidence we just have a screwed up middle east by 2011 ?!
