WTF?

It doesn't break up. The "lower piece" was a star elenin was passing. Check further back in the footage. It does appear to turn. However, this can't be elenin because it's traveling up at a 55 degree angle. It's something else.

This was on a thread last night and I think they came to the conclusion that it was lens flare, I'm not expert I dont know but that was the call last night.

Creating youtube videos on recordings that you have no clue about does not make one an expert.

Yes you are right to an extent.

The issue with the majority of people on this website is that they refuse to take what the real experts tell them into consideration. We can say over and over again with evidence to support it that this is not what the video says it is, but they will continue to believe what they want.

I definatly agree my friend, but can you help me out with this? it may not be elenin, it may not have disintegrated, but the fact stil stands; there has been no official notice of it, and it sure as hell didnt look anything near a lensflare to me.

it wasnt a massive exlposion, it didnt hit elenin, and it didnt disintegrate. Sorry, OP. Thanks for sharing, but it is a fail all the way. a fail home run!

well i have seen lens flares that look just like that. Just an event of too much light overwhelming the sensors. the guy that made the vid intentionally edited to cut out the beginning of the sequence where you can see that it is not an object breaking into two (which by the way is still a far way from being "disentegrated") it is two small objects that are passing each other, and he waits until they are on top of each other to begin the vid so that as they move away it appears that it was really a big object that broke. It was deliberate IMHO, as the timing was just too precise. If you saw the full length of footage you would see that nothing broke.

It's NO WHERE NEAR JUPITER, how can that lens flare so far away actually hit Elenin???
