Startling Dream: It's a transition metal... But what if it's not?
An odd thought/dream/dunno wtf it was that I startled awake to this morning. No alarms, nothing, hours before I needed to get up for work...

Someone:
"It's a transition metal."
Me with deep concern in my voice:
"But what if it's not!?"

That's all I could remember... I laid for a few min thinking about it and then just went back to bed... but it's been bugging me all day...

Anyone care to speculate...?

It's been a while since I've concerned myself with a dream as much as this, first time I've ever asked anyone about interpretations...

Re: Startling Dream: It's a transition metal... But what if it's not?
The only reason I even ask, is that the emotion of concern when I said the words "But what if it's not." was so powerful, as if something very grave was to happen in such a situation... I feel like that's what may have startled me awake... The feeling of concern was so overpowering when I woke up that I don't think I'd be that concerned if I was asking about my house burning down or even me getting shot...

Dream could be a warning, to test your foundations? somthing that appares to be happening or solid could be not happening or solid, your subconsouse could be giving symbolic warning?

Illusion.....

now depends on what your using the metal for, whatever system its meant to cater for(symbolicly), that peace of metal will be the week spot, part malfunctioning, based on obsolete format.

Interesting, but for some reason I feel the metal part was important...

The mood was as if I was debugging a computer program with someone... this person then said those words... and my response was as if what if that doesn't fix the program or such...

Note: I'm a programmer... the mood could probably apply to any problem solving scenario...

It's just the feeling of concern was far stronger than worrying about some computer program, bigger than life and death even...

Thank you, for the follow up btw...

Any chance you could elaborate on...?

I'm a tad confused on it...
I mean I'm a lot confused on the whole thing, but your words give a lot to think about...

I know there are many components that make up the hardware of a cpu, different metals used for different purposes(gold/copper/etc), each are in place for a purpose, if a part is replaced with the wrong type of metal, that componant might not work to its fullest capabilities, and depending what type of system you want to build, it needs to be based on core principles/metal coponants suitable for that system.

It can be confussing, because the subconsouse is a different level, uniteing the two(consousness), to see the 3rd perpective is not an easy thing to accomplish.....well it could be, just a matter of perpective......

Programs are just on a different level, its the instructional part, how we process information ect, triggers, and activation sequences. Inofrmation and knowledge(gold).

Haha, thanks for playing it up to my dream fear... though I had no awareness of what the re-precautions of a fail would be... all I had felt was that it was grave...

It almost seems as if you are discussing the setting up of the system for global governance...

If such a system is to be indeed transitional, that would be scary, as there are plenty situations where the revolutionaries become the new dictators and call for a formation of a "transitional" period that they never quite transition out of...

Somehow I doubt that's what my dream was about, but that's what I'm thinking about now... lol... as that's about the only thing that would justify such concern...

Or maybe it really had something to do with computers, and maybe that new stable quantum computer they just built recently...

Who knows...

Thank you for your ponderings, they've given me much to think about...

Transitional Metals:

Scandium
Titanium
Vanadium
Chromium
Manganese
Iron
Cobalt
Nickel
Copper
Zinc
Yttrium
Zirconium
Niobium
Molybdenum
Technetium
Ruthenium
Rhodium
Palladium
Silver
Cadmium
Lanthanum sometimes (often considered a rare earth, lanthanide)
Hafnium
Tantalum
Tungsten
Rhenium
Osmium
Iridium
Platinum
Gold
Mercury
Actinium sometimes (often considered a rare earth, actinide)
Rutherfordium
Dubnium
Seaborgium
Bohrium
Hassium
Meitnerium
Darmstadtium
Roentgenium
Element 112 - Ununbium -

[link to www.chemicalelements.com] has click-able links on each metal listed that gives more data on the element.

There has to be more to the dream than just these two lines. Something went on before in the dream state that set up this 'startling revelation'.

What went on in the dream is as important as the words.

It has some meaning to you, what meaning I do not know, I am not you. The brain 'talks' to us in symbols, usually those symbols are things that only the person can understand. While most humans do share a common set of symbols and their meaning; such as a dove means peace, it doesn't mean that the importance of a symbol will have the same impact on two different people.

The best I can do is offer the list above and a link for you to explore transitional metals, perhaps if you read/see the name of the metal it will cause you to recall more of the dream and that way reveal more to you of the meaning of that dream.

Thank you... but that is also the most concerning part to me, it wasn't quite like any other dream I've had lately, and sadly that's all I could remember.

I don't remember who the other person was, what we were doing, nor where were we. Nothing visual got recorded besides those two audio statements and the strong feelings associated with them.

I did have the feeling as if we were looking down on the thing we were working on, or looking at, or something of that nature... nothing visual though... just a feeling of my head looking down or something...

The feeling was that we were working on this though... like the feeling of debugging an important program with a friend or something...

The deeply concerned state upon waking put me into a state of mental panic that made me think I was running late for work... even though it was hours early... and it wasn't till I looked at the clock that I realized the dream is what put me into this panic state, and as I laid back and thought about what just happened... Those two sentences were all I could gather... I thought about them for a while trying to pull at anything else I could, but nothing else would surface, so I drifted back to sleep hoping I'd get more answers... I didn't...

Re: Startling Dream: It's a transition metal... But what if it's not?
Perhaps you were part of a program that builds a CPU which utilizes rare earth metals which actually converts the metals in specific areas of the chip, during processing, as part of it's processing steps, which in turn allow it to process at far greater a capacity than without. The problem was, that this step, must create a toxic/radioactive metal as a transitional step in the process and although it will be created for a minutely short period of time, it still has the capacity to infect/irradiate the surrounding evirons/people and you started to wonder if the transitional state leaves small particles behind...

What you say though sounds very interesting... I'll have to research it a bit...

Though I'm just a programmer... my hardware skills are slim to none... I mean I can put together a PC, but sometimes I wind up buying the wrong RAM... haha...
