Why is it ok to discriminate against overweight people? How about mean people, ugly people, people that worry too much, negative people, or whatever?

I'm sick of the mindset that it's always ok to hate on overweight people. Our society is too focused on people's weight and appearance. If we focused more on being decent and kind instead of hateful and shallow this world would be a much better place.
