There was research that plants and vegetables react to stimuli in a way that's analogous to pain. So, where do you draw the line? Why is it OK to slice an onion in half with a sharp knife but confer feelings and emotions on killing an animal.

What a bunch of hypocrites.

If you eat meat, you will kill a multifold of pants. One kg meat equals 18 kg plant protein.

'Then an old man, a keeper of an inn, said, "Speak to us of Eating and Drinking."

And he said:

Would that you could live on the fragerance of the earth, and like an air plant be sustained by the light.

But since you must kill to eat, and rob the young of its mother's milk to quench your thirst, let it then be an act of worship,

And let your board stand an altar on which the pure and the innocent of forest and plain are sacrificed for that which is purer and still more innocent in many.'

Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet.

Every existing being is equally preciouss to God, even a rock on the road has the same value as a human. The fact that all of that is here with us is the ultimate proof. You do not need to read books for that, you just need to see/feel it.
As for vegans, ever wonder why they are so skinny and weak looking? Did god intented for a human to look like that? What about their thinking abilities, are they smarter, or more spiritual? Spiritual growth and spirit itself doesn't know limitation, or conditioning, only experience matters, good or bad the mind decides, not the spirit.

many vegans are trying to make thir food taste like meat saying that that is a way, but that is just a lie, why would you eat vegetables when you want to eat meat? Where does it say that you can be that hypocryte and succeed? Vegans are weak because they eat low/heavy vibration food and that is vegetables, and because they usually get themselves to believe that spiritual growth is bound to be vegan, well I can tell you for sure that spiritual growth is not possible when there is a conflict inside and that is thinking of a tasy stake when eating a fruit, or a potato. There is a reason why meat is so fulfilling to the stomach and vegetables are not, nt even beans. Think about it and never create a conflict inside yourself, if you feel you want to eat meat then do it and when you feel taste for vegetables you go for that, keep the balance intact as is possible.

PLANTS CANT RUN, SCREAM, CRY, OR DREAM! THE EARTH CREATES THEM AS LONG AS YOU RESPECT IT AND THE PROCESS. ANIMALS ARE CREATED BY ANIMALS AND HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS CANNT BE ACHEIVED IF CONSCIOUSNESS KILLS ITSELF BY KILLING OTHERS!

That is hypocrisy as well, too much doesn't add up, but they try to ignore that and by that they are being even more lost. They are lost in this complex world because they live by the rules that they created in their heads.

I suggest you read Richard Bach's Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah. I cannot understand vegans and it seems to me a limited and conditioned human is utterly boring, just like religious sheeple.

Re: How can vegans eat vegetables. Do plants not have a right to life too???
Genesis 3:14 supports the assertion that the animals began to die after the fall, as God declares to the serpent: ‘ … cursed are you above all cattle and above all wild animals’ (RSV). The contrast ‘above all’ communicates that the serpent’s curse would be greater than the curse of the all other animals. Hence, all animals are being cursed at this moment in time. There is nothing in the text of Genesis 1 that would lead one to believe the animals were experiencing death before God’s curse. The text of Genesis 1 indicates that the animals were not eating and killing each other prior to the fall of Adam. ‘And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food. And it was so.’59 Animals were originally designed to eat vegetation, not each other.
