About Dan he said: "Dan is a lion's cub,
springing out of Bashan."
Deuteronomy 33:22
Bashan is located in the Golan Heights, overlooking the Sea of Galilee, Jordan River and
Mount Hermon.
The tribe of Dan moved to this area during the days of the Judges, and adopted the Canaanite worship.

"And the angels, the sons of the heavens, saw and lusted after them, and said one to another: ‘Behold, we will choose for ourselves wives from among the children of men, and will beget for ourselves children.’
"And they descended on
ARDIS, which is the summit of
Mount HERMON; and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn on it and
bound themselves mutually by a curse" (Enoch 6:1-6). Because of this
Mount Hermon became known as the "Mountain of the Oath".
It is also known as "Mountain of the Chief".
An inscription on a limestone stele recovered by Warren from Qasr Antar was translated by George Nickelsburg to read
"According to the command of the greatest a(nd) Holy God, those who take an oath (proceed) from here." Nickelsburg connected the inscription with oath taken by the angels under Semjaza who took an oath together, bound by a curse in order to take wives in the Book of Enoch (1 Enoch 6:6).

Hermon" (Deut. 4:47,48).
