One who does now the reality of a pearl would naturally except a fake plastic pearl because of a thorough ignorance of what constitutes a real pearl.
A more terrible ignorance if one knew what a real pearl is, but neglects to consider that it took an entire ocean and biosphere and ages of years and generations to create that pearl.

It has been said that it takes a villiage or community to raise a child.....I wonder if any guilt is felt by our adult 'role models' that as a whole, a whole community, as a whole human family. We have failed.
We failed to make every child feel wanted, we have failed in making our children know that they can seek hugs rather than guns and drugs.....we failed to provide every child with a home warmth and food.
We have taken our pearls of worth, our real pearls , more precious than gold and caste them into a perishible, counterfit simulation......
expecting that one day when those pearls are pulled from the muddy dregs,that they would actually be worth something of value.
