Ask SO if you can borrow their phone to make a call or text a friend, play a game, or watch youtube. See if you're allowed to use it. Seems like a lot of security for someone with nothing to hide. Just saying... Then again, do all of their friends have the latest, greatest phone? Might just be trying to show off to friends and associates. The fact that you asked means you have reason to be suspicious. |

What is with all this "don't snoop" mentality? This is someone that I am considering marriage with. Not my kid or other relative. Our monkey minds may have not caught up with our technology. I remember the days BEFORE the advent of the cell phone. Much less complicated then. Much less temptation too. Oh and trust was easily earned. Maybe I should "lock up" my shit too. Frackin freaks in this generation. ' |

I have mine on for my Android phone, it's not the fingerprint one, but they all serve the same purpose: NO BUTT DIALING |

Oh and trust was easily earned. Maybe I should "lock up" my shit too. Frackin freaks in this generation. ' A lock on a phone is a good idea, especially if you use it for banking and other such money exchanging types of things. Been married for over 35 years (getting real close to 40 years) and I never, ever, ever go into the spouse's purse, nor her drawers, hell I won't even go into her side of the medicine cabinet. As for technology, I do not muck around with the spouse's computer, don't muck around with the spouse's phone. And yes if you live together you MUST keep some secrets. Nothing major, but something that keeps YOU YOU and HIM HIM. Folk think that this "US" crap means you have to give up "YOU" totally and completely, this is the number one big failure point of marriages. You lose your own identity, your own 'persona' to this 'US' thing, and end up resenting the other for what you think is no reason what so ever. the reality is that the reason is that you feel like you are being lost. And in many cases, you are. Also keep a few of YOUR friends as YOUR friends, and he should do the same. Sure you friends can meet the spouse, but the idea here is that you have a place/person to go to when you need an ear to bend about the bastard/bitch you are living with. If you go to a common friend they become put upon, and you end up mot speaking your mind and getting it out, so it sits there, molders, festers and grows until one day you walk into the bath room and the toilet paper is hung 'backwards' and suddenly you are raging with total hatred, demanding a divorce. Not because of the toilet paper, but because of all those minor times you needed someone to talk to about your relationship, about your partner and had to suck it up and internalize everything out of fear the spouse would find out, out of a need to not involve a mutual friend - etc. HIS phone is HIS phone. YOUR phone is YOUR phone. Neither of you need to snoop in the other's phone - there is no need if you are honest to one another about other things and if you trust each other. Love that term "creepo". Have we really turned into a nation of "privacy entitlement tards" with our spouses and significant others? I have been out of the loop. My late spouse NEVER did this. Thoughts? |

Again, it's not for security purposes, it's probably so they don't ass dial while at work, and thought it would be a cool app to replace the STOCK lock screen that comes pre-installed on the phone. |
