Heck -- I can't even say If I would change anything from my past. I would probably travel to the future to prevent my future.

I would go back to the Soviet Union during the Trotsky/Stalin power struggle and defeat Stalin. Then I would go back to Nazi Germany -- moon Hitler -- and throw a grenade at him.
 Quoting: Béla Bartók

I like this idea too. Ice pick to Stalin's face?

Not one reply saying they would go back to the crucifixion time of jesus to view. OR goto pyramids to see how they were really built etc..

Myself, that's what I would do. I wouldn't change any of my past, I am who I am because of it.

I'd travel back in time to when Columbus sailed and docked in Plymouth....I'd rally a massive show of tribes to discourage the eventual annihilation of a culture, sacred earth-loving people honoring sustainability, taking only what was needed. I would change the indignant rape of North America done by the arrogant and violent, systematic and wasteful "white man." I would somehow wish to "teach" the ways of the native american to the "white man" upon stepping on such proud and noble soil. I would wish to cultivate harmony in such senseless thinking males in silly uniforms, hats and wigs....wishful thinking, thanks for the opportunity OP.

Powerful. I was going to say the same thing but this post pretty much did said it perfectly.
In this game the lesson's in your eyes to see, though things change, the future's still inside of me. We must remember that tomorrow comes after the dark, so you will always be in my heart, with unconditional Love.

I agree. I would not change my past. For good or for worse, it is what it is. I would be freaked out If I was in the Jesus era. Would not know what to do.

Thinking deeper about it, I would go back to protect Beethoven's childhood from his putz father. I would tell that his son was born a genius and he does not have to be such a drunken prick to him.

I would travel back to the beginning and then I would travel some more.

Eventually I will come full circle back into the present from the future. Unfortunately, with all three lines converging at once, the dark matter will be activated. Thus, another false universe will be culled from the cosmic stasis and the parade moves on.

If you had a time machine and you could go back to any historical moment of the past -- which one would it be, and would you try to change the outcome or just witness it?
 Quoting: Béla Bartók

Hitler's bathroom before 1938. I cut his balls off and stuff them down his neck, moments before I cut his head off. That'd save some trouble for the world. Or plan B, the more civilised approach I'd probably go with- I'd capture him and keep him confined in a mental hospital/prison for observation and tests until he died...giving him the odd club round the head now and then.

I would simply like to go back to the start of this universe ...just see the origin point of all life. Whether to see the big bang, multiple bangs or whatever it is...it would noy matter)....because although the rest of evolution of the universe (or multiverses) and organic life is very clever, interesting, subtle and amusing (I can bask in that wonder now). Equally it is all meaningless compared to that initial action or reaction...or perhaps I could go back ever further LOL.

Also just to let you know...if and when I returned back I would say absolutely nothing to anyone, cos there's nothing better than listening to deluded humans talk their BS all day..but I would smile a lot.

This is not intendend to start some bogus and meaningless nutjob religious, spiritual or scientific debate...because I am humble enough to enjoy and understand our true insignificance in all this vast chaotic wonder we call the cosmos.

Why in the world would anyone want to watch Jesus being crucified? It would be too emotionally upsetting. I'll just wait and see Jesus when I'm raptured or when I die.

I'd go back in time with a video camera and record the life and times of Jesus

It actually is, most of them only religious because thats how they born and raised, blindly living their lives. Thankfully there is good amount of people living consciously.
