After an IED blew the fuck out of his convoy, he slammed into the windshield of his HUMVEE, head first.

The bracket on the panel broke as he slammed head first into a bullet proof windshield, braking his ribs and glass cutting his face. Slashed in the face and full of broken ribs, he still had maintained his situational awareness. He got out of the smoking vehicle, all crew dead inside but him, yet he was able to consolidate his squad from the remaining vehicles into firing positions and commanded them to put out rounds.

Which they did.

While he was standing there, directing fire, he was shot bellow the left breast. The round slides across his broken ribs on his left side and exits under his armpit on his right side.

He said he just felt a tug under his armor, because what he was focused on was a little girl who had emerged from a torn out building.

He said, he kept yelling at her to get away, run, go back inside until he saw the bomb vest that was strapped on her.

As he kept yelling at her to run, he held up his weapon, aimed it at her ... and because she did not run, he fired, killing the little girl with a bomb vest strapped to her chest.

After that he said he passed out.

When he woke up, it was 48 hours later, and he was in Walter Reed.

I trained him, so I asked him, why Walter Reed? Why not Baghdad or Germany?

He said, that he had died, or was dead for eighteen hours. They flew him to Baghdad, but no doctor would work on him. Then they flew him to Germany, but no doctor there would work on him there either, then he said they said he died, so they flew him to Walter Reed, who did work on him, revived him and fixed him all up.

The most humble man ever did I meet. Extraordinary heroism.

Then I told him why they would not treat him in Baghdad nor Germany. thing is he already knew the answer.

He said, he had been through all of the phych shit, but he does not feel what folks are laying on him.

I said this to him.

Look Sarge, you were able to see that your remaining squad got home. They are now able to marry, have children, and those children can get puppies. Puppies make children happy. You did that, Sarge.

That little girl was already dead. That is how the Islamist play the game of war. They use innocent babies to hate-kill their enemies, because we Americans are so sensitive to such acts.

The enemy did the same thing in the Vietnam war. And shitfucks like them will continue to do those horrendous acts. Like use rape as a weapon of war. That is why they are the enemy and need to be removed from the society of man by death. There is no other option.

You did the right thing, Sarge. By your actions, little kids in this country can now enjoy the happiness and comfort from having a puppy.
