Seems like a strange area for a quake.
Quoting: de38always Actually, thanks to Rick Perry and the Barnett Shale Project, we've been siphoning off natural gas reserves using the fracking process. We've been experiencing small earthquakes for the past couple of years. There is a fault line, very minute and fairly inactive, that runs through Texas. To provide a link, for once: [ link to chanceofrain.com] This is an article wherein there is a map of fracking and natural gas pockets. [ link to www.uh.edu] This is a map of fault lines in the Houston area. Quoting: MrsWilliams Neither of these maps are anywhere near Snyder Texas, there is a very defined fault line there.
