"PIN"Really wierd smell in Southern Ontario, media blames it on Minnesota forest fire!!!!!!

Anyone from Cali can verify if that smell was like an acrid burning smell?

I started smelling this wood type smell about 12 Noon today. I thought at first it was my neighbor burning wood but then realized the smell was everywhere. Very strange!! Supposedly it was a fire in Minnesota and it hit the jetstream and carried it on down to where I'm at in Chicago.

The southern Ontario region could get nailed by a mondo earthquake. That gas you are smelling is usually a precursor to a big quake.

However, I think the Cascadia Subduction zone will rip first. Then the San Andreas fault, then the New Madrid, which will tear the US in half all the way up to Ontario. Bye bye Marineland (everybody loves that place)

I still think it's odd that you can smell it from Canada to Chicago. The smell creeped into my office and everyone was concerned. HQ even sent an email explaining what the smell was and not to be alarmed...

More severe symptoms may include chest tightness, wheezing, shortness of breath, and coughing.

Depending on the smoke concentrations and an individual's sensitivity to smoke, actions to take include remaining indoors with the doors and windows closed, using a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter on air conditioners, reducing other sources of indoor air pollution, and leaving the area if an individual has particular sensitivity.

Chicago still hazy and smells as if something is burning, but does not have a wood or pleasant campfire smell. Chemical smell or like rubber burning. Entire family has had a headache for past two days. Nauseating!
