BREAKING!!!!!! Palestinians back off UN Security Council statehood bid!

When yesterday Abbas himself REITERATED and REMINDED the West that NOTHING would stop his UN General Assembly AND UN Security Council bid for statehood?

As planned, all reliable sources (mainstream and not) confirm that Abbas is going ahead with Palestine's statehood bid next week on September 22.

Also, I thought the petition to seek statehood would be voted on at the UN meeting on the 20th but the article posted above says the 22nd now. Wonder why the date change, anyone know?

No watcher, what it proves is that debka tries to get the news out before anybody else & prides themselves on this when they do. But there in lys the problem, some of there stories don't get confirmed, and end up being just rumors

Of course they are. Abbas does not want to give anymore power to Hamas than they already have. Until last night I was extremely deluded about what is going on over there. I feel like a total fool but have opened my eyes to see the much bigger picture.

So even OP admits this pin is BS, but I guess it still remains pinned because its a Karma pin, which kinda defeats the Karma concept to keep an admittedly debunked pin pinned...if you see my point.

This video is rather shocking. It's incredible to me how the Palestinians treat their own "holy site". My eyes have been opened. There are even many Muslims who are saying the same thing about what is going on.

Senior US and international envoys have begun a fresh round of shuttle diplomacy to try to head off a Palestinian bid for UN membership.

Israel has warned of "harsh and grave consequences" if the move goes ahead.

"From the moment they pass a unilateral decision there will be harsh and grave consequences," he said.

"I hope that we shall not come to those harsh and grave consequences, and that common sense will prevail in all decisions taken," he added.

Some hardline Israeli politicians have called for Israel to annex sections of the West Bank if the Palestinians go ahead.
