You're not posting what is genuine of truthful - other than James May's reaction to the beauty of the earth's atmosphere as viewed from a above in the video.
The earth's atmosphere is 78% Nitrogen and 21% Oxygen. This is a fact - now that leaves 1% (the majority of which is carbon dioxide, water vapour and argon). If there is any ether at all, it will be infinitessimal.
Sorry - chemistry has you beaten before you start here.
