RP has never appealed to more than 3% in any legitimate national poll. Sadly, his supporters will continue attacking all real conservatives and manipulating all on-line polls to cause further confusion and divisions among conservative voters.

The DNC is working behind the scenes to make him the Ross Perot of 2012, because no Democrat candidate can win unless the conservative vote is divided. Hillary Clinton can not get 50% of the vote in a general election and Barack Obama can not get even 40%. Republicans must be divided for Democrats to win. Which is exactly what RP is attempting to do, to divide the republican party, which will help the democrats.

The survey, taken Thursday through Sunday, charts a GOP field that seems headed toward a showdown between Perry, with 31% backing, and Romney, at 24%.

The only other candidate in double digits is Texas Rep. Ron Paul, at 13%. Support for Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann has plummetted to 5%.

So we don't trust the institutions anymore.
Now we form our own group.
What do we do, we go back in time or do we make something new.
I see many here want to go back in time. Also dr Paul. I'm always afraid that that actually means the elite know that time too and we will still be stuck with them.
Something new will probably really change things. With something new we can really demand our demands. The old is not better at all. Cos they were there then too. They will just do again what they just did to us. They will grow and buy up all our enterprise and labor and make us do just their biddings, and gain all the profit.
I don't even hear dr Paul speak about what it means to go back, he never says Corporations need to loose their person status, that they need special government license to operate. But that was how these capitalist entities got curtailed in the past...
We need something new, in some cases modeled like the old. But we don't need some half baked ideas about the old nobody really knows and have some free fantasy world where everything is old and conservative if the pope of conservatism says so.
We need to really think what we want, what will work. Specifics. That is what it means to not trust your institutions anymore and that is what it means to take your own responsibility. And none of you are worth anything if you will only think of yourself or if you follow somewhere into darkness because someone says at the end is a beautiful, trusted, old controllable world.
