3 Days Of Darkness Coming Up?-Was It The 9th Plague In The Bible?

The most important part of the original post/scripture is "23They did not see one another, nor did anyone rise from his place for three days, but(C) all the people of Israel had light where they lived."
Some have discussed what might cause darkness on the earth, but we have not focused on the most interesting part... it points out specifically that they did not see each other even though they had light where they lived. Is it a "blinding" of sorts as one mentioned previously? What kind of darkness is present but still does not allow one to see even with light sources present? Many suggestions do not take this statement into account.
One does not have to believe this account, but it was part of the original post, so I feel it is relevant, at least for this thread.

I have read various statements online recently about "holy candles" and such for the possible coming "darkness". By stating this, is it implying they only the children of Israel had light during the darkness? Israel - which we get from the Greek, is originally in the Hebrew, "Yisrael". Yisrael means, quite literally, " He has striven with God," or " He has been saved by God," based on which translation of "sra" was meant to be used. So, all believers can be called "Israel" (people, not the land per se), so yes I agree it will not only be Israel the land that has "light" (maybe only Yeshua followers this time even?), but Israel the people. :-)
