The Sun makes a complete rotation in about 27 days, the Sunspot appeared on the limb of the sun (edge of disk) 2 days ago and will be dead on geo effective in the 28th. The sunspots in question formed on a known hotspot for repeatedly producing monster Sunspots that erupt into huge solar flares, some of which were so powerful that they were never accurately measured. So far we have dodged the bullet, but it has been luck more than anything. This could be it, and I can tell you this much for absolute certain, they think so. |
