Has anyone had to fill out a TSA "Threat Assessment" form for work? | |
Dried Up Hag (OP) User ID: 1443836 ![]() 09/28/2011 07:32 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My husband's company just made some of its employees fill it out and told him that he would get a "card" if he passed the security clearance. When I googled it I learned about the "TWIC," and the "No Work List." I'm pretty nervous about this and was hoping someone could tell me if they had experience with this sort of thing.... |

Apparently, anyone with a cdl, (or anyone applying for their cdl), has to fill out this threat assessment form and get a security clearance from the TSA. This extends to anyone who is in a supervisory position and up the chain of management. Anyone who has unsupervised access to freight now has to get this clearance.....Once you are cleared as "no security threat" then you get a card. Then you have to re-apply every year. My question is....if a person doesn't get this clearance after filling out this application - do they lose their job? |

I would assume that if the government considers him a threat to commit some sort of terrorist act, the company would let him go. |

Well - either that or demote down to a non-supervisory position.....that's why I was hoping someone here might have some first or second-hand experience with this.... |
Dried Up Hag (OP) User ID: 1443836 ![]() 09/28/2011 08:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ![]() So the bottom line is, my husband has to be given security clearance to continue performing his job from now on...... My question is three-fold: Has anyone here either been denied clearance or know someone who has? And what were the results? And what were the specific reasons given for being denied? I'm getting conflicting information between the TSA's FAQ on their website and other websites as to the eligibility requirements. So, I was hoping for some feedback from anyone who hasw actually experienced this..... |
