I've found that the more I read about the afterlife, the less strange it seems. I used to hyperventilate if I thought about dying, but I'm pretty sure it was just fear of the unknown. The best cure is to learn as much about it as you can, like traveling to a strange or unfamiliar country, if you learn about it beforehand, you're likely to be much less nervous about going there. Everyone gets an afterlife, so we might as well plan on that as much as we plan for other things in our life.
