Nothing wrong with lsd.

Drugs are not a sin.

It is quite probable that Jesus was, himself, a psychedelic mushroom. Im not making this up. Just shedding some light on it.

Re: DRUGS AND THE AFTERLIFE
I think the main problem with drugs and the afterlife is if there is such a love or addiction to it that you become earthbound after death because you want more and can't give it up. One of the reasons to free yourself from earthly desires before you die is so that you are free to move on to the higher planes and not be so addicted to the physical pleasures or material possessions that you don't want to leave the earth plane.

Yep, that or unfinished business, for instance a sudden death where they didnt' get a chance to wrap things up first and now are trying to communicate to tell people things. Other reasons as well.

very interesting perceptive(s) and thanks for the feed back to everyone! and no, me simply putting crack and lsd in the same category does not imply that im brainwashed, but that i was generalizing to help expanded on such a extensive debate/observation. thnx. however, i also cant say im not simply brainwashed in general ;] but im not smoking weed (only drug, illgeal, that ive done) to help cope with things anymore. im well past depression and on my way to ascensending in my own context ;)

You obviously are unaware of the perspective that drug abuse helps heal pain. Eventually the drug pain is worse and you get over the original pain and are simply left with physical withdrawals and just need to will yourself off them. Been there, done that with opiates AND amphetamines so don't tell me I'm wrong. I've seen others not recover like I have, but they lacked love in their life. All you need is love :)

i agree, love is a very awesome and powerful thing that we can hardly grasp the full concept of. as well, i agree with your perceptive that drugs both help and then they have the negitive effects of withdrawl. but thankfully im young and not reckless, and havent messed with anything other than the big 3. (alchol, tobacco, marijuanna) im hardly drink so im not clouded by that, but mainly caffine is something my body needs now, and i dont know that cure, except for more caffine. i will not tell you you are wrong bcuz i am aware i lack many things, i just enjoy others insight and perspective.

Re: DRUGS AND THE AFTERLIFE
Depends on your use of them. Some are powerful medicine, like MJ. Abused, like any other thing, it's not awesome for the soul. But with careful, calculated use she's a wonder. Same with many other things, trust natural things more than big pharma. The issue with loads of psychedelics, our Shamans are gone. In a different place/time, these tools were used to help one gain insight with guidance. But like anything else, these tools can heal or kill. It's all about intention, intelligence and knowing what to expect beforehand. Of all the things mentioned, I see alcohol as the most damaging. There's no theraputic effect to be had there and it damages more people/lives/families than all other "drugs" combined.

Re: DRUGS AND THE AFTERLIFE
The 51 participants, who had an average age of 46, completed two to five eight-hour drug sessions at least three weeks apart. They were asked to lie down on a couch, use an eye mask and listen to music on headphones while focusing on an inner experience. Their personalities were screened initially, one to two months after each drug session and about a year after the last trip.

In the test, 30 people had a mystical experience, as established by a set of psychological scales. On tests of major personality traits, their openness scores rose, suggesting a greater interest in imagination, aesthetics, feelings, ideas and values. The 22 patients who didn’t have a mystical experience showed no change.

I have experienced my eternal soul while tripping on mushrooms. They have changed my view of the world indefinitely, I can say. I've become more of a religious person, and feel I have a greater understanding of life and afterlife. I'm not eager to die, but I fear death less ever since.

The thing with Lady J, approach it with respect. She's kind to those who need her, open to those who understand her and healing to those who need healing. Queen Victoria used MJ for menstrual cramps (not going to elaborate, you ladies know!). She's a friend to mankind... But honestly? I've never "went" anywhere while enjoying her. Vaporizers work best as it cuts the carbon pollution, but the real sacred sacrement? Brownies with ghee butter made with the lady. I won't pretend I always use shamanistically, but sometimes sharing with likeminded friends opens doors to interesting, life affirming conversations.

Re: DRUGS AND THE AFTERLIFE
Drugs and even moderate drug use are, in my interpretation of the bible (using Greek Latin Hebrew and Aramaic versions of this book), are not a 'sin'.

The same applies to alcohol. Jesus Himself would be a sinner, not only did He drink Wine, He also had the audacity to be a wine pusher, turning water into wine.

It is when drugs/alcohol become the be all, do all, only end to your life that you are in 'sin' territory.

However addictive behavior is not really a sin, it is a sickness, one brought on by social and familial issues stemming way back to when you were in the womb.

There is direct correlation between chemical and physical 'brain issues' and addictive personalities.

This means we are dealing with sick people. People who are suffering from a 'dis-ease' of the body and mind.

God and Christ appear to have this thing about treating the sick of mind and spirit and of body as kindly as possible, thus I fail to see where being a drug user (lightly or to the extreme) is in and of itself a 'sin'.

Drug production and sales (or alcohol production and sales) with the sole purpose of cashing in on the miseries of others (turning a profit off of illness) is most likely a sin.

You common drug 'pusher' the guy who hands out the dope for cash is only the end of the production line, and isn't the one to be blamed. S/he is often their own best customer, or have their own drug related problems to where they are selling to survive.

The real 'sinner' in these cases is much higher up, the main producer, the one who gets into the business to make a dollar or a million.

This is often large 'criminal' organizations, or national interests who are purposefully churning out drugs for the purpose of making money. THOSE are the sinners.

I don't think there is anything wrong seeing as there are so many drugs that we take unwittingly. Whatever you choose is what you choose.

I think the problems come from mentally not being able to manaage...

Depends, if it performs a service, it's good, if you brain someone with it, maybe not so much.
It depends, I suspect it has to do with intent, and whether used to help vs to avoid responsibility and be a self centered blighter
