reckon we'll just have to redesign society, by changing what "value" a human has just as themselves,not by their productivity.
this question reminds me of the comments made by that society engineer on the second zietgiest movie.

There are some robot nurses in Japan and they look slightly eerily realistic. So soon even prostitution will be automated!!!

And they will be, probably by the end of the 2020's. Can't wait.

every modern country should have a 80% unemployment rate.

75% of all hours worked are unnecessary time sponge to occupy the time of those that might realise how pointless what they are doing is.

Machinery, robots (not cyborgs, assembly line currently in-use technology) and computers were all supposed to free mankind from soul crushing mind numbing needless labour.

instead each 'advance' in fact creates more huge work for works sake 'industries'.

'revolutionaries' are arguing about interest rates, creating employment and 'fiscal realities' that aren't real.

I believe this is hidden by "unemployment".

With in 5 to 10 years there will be no need for humans to do anything. Machines will program and improve themselves.

This is the painful juncture we find ourselves at. This and transhumanism I believe is the essence of every problem on the world scene today.

We havent yet answered "what am I". Now the whole concept is about to change. It will change much sooner than we expect.

The next ten years will we more radically different than all of the changes of the last century put together.

The only solace is that our children, being born right now wont know any difference.

When are we going to understand as a society and a species.. That the only true things we need in life are food clothing and shelter. Everything else is just bull sh-t. We did not choose these surroundings.. We were born into a system of slavery from the beginning due to the fake monopoly money society we have been brainwashed to accept.

People..we should not live life as if it is a game to win or lose..This is were the problems begins.. We need to love each other as a species and care for all to protect humanity.Anyone who wants to replace the human life with a machine does not understand the real truth that has been taught to us but hidden though the media and the corporate elite.
If we all spent our time making this a better world instead of spending all our time on our meaningless jobs so we have food clothing and shelter... can you imagine where we could go as a species.

Studying the subject a little further, I find that the machines they plan on making will have only one operator, to build thousands of houses.

One of the things I like about going to Home Depot or Lowes on my weekly trips was customer service. Now they have check out lines without any one to talk too....

Those machines that check out for you means that a human being is now not needed, the loss of a job. Times how many stores across a how many states?
