80% of current 'jobs' could be fully automated today.
Quoting: Dr. House Indeed. I believe this is hidden by "unemployment". With in 5 to 10 years there will be no need for humans to do anything. Machines will program and improve themselves. This is the painful juncture we find ourselves at. This and transhumanism I believe is the essence of every problem on the world scene today. We havent yet answered "what am I". Now the whole concept is about to change. It will change much sooner than we expect. The next ten years will we more radically different than all of the changes of the last century put together. The only solace is that our children, being born right now wont know any difference. They really are the future of our species. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2425440 I have to wonder if automation hasn't causes unemployment. One of the things I like about going to Home Depot or Lowes on my weekly trips was customer service. Now they have check out lines without any one to talk too.... Those machines that check out for you means that a human being is now not needed, the loss of a job. Times how many stores across a how many states?
