OK people - many thanks for the input - bear in mind I am across the 'great pond' so at least 5 or 6 hours delay in replying etc to any direct comment etc
In answer to a few queries:
Bandwith- I have about 800 gigs available - OK for the normal blast of visitors and may be a few surges etc - but the site in the main would be offered as a portal with main links to whoever wishes to offer info/data on their sites etc
The SID look of great interest - especially when things go 'awry' (shut downs/outages etc) which is always a possibility.
We were actually shut down from all ac.uk sites in UK many years ago for 3 weeks via a NASA site operating from an outlet in a New York Public library..always wondered what they found of interest? Did you find anything NASA? (Never A Straight Answer --anyway)
In the first stage I can upload the links already suggested and offered - I also have somewhere stashed on the site a prima for people who want to know the basics of all this - will upload as soon as I can.
I contacted Gary Gooodwin of [

who is also still interested, Gary was one of our original team members so has many years of experience in this field and will be a great help.
May be also we can make this a permanent thread etc until we develop other sites, or keep this going whatever..
I know from many years experience, especially with so much new satellite technology and so many data charts, that is often difficult to look for what you want - like looking for a needle in the proverbial haystack - so the idea was to make it as simple as possible and easier for contributions to be shared.
This way - may be we can make some 'sense' out of it all and receive some early 'heads up' info
Thanks
Reminder - this is the initial platform - Sol-orbit
