anecdotal evidence:

1. My neighbor makes pickles via a 3 day process where she leaves them in the sun. The process is now completed in 3 hours instead of 3 days!

2. I've been nursing an avocado tree I grew from a pit. I put it outside to get some sun 2 days ago, and it completely shriveled up in a few hours despite having plenty of water.

The Sun is not acting the way it ususally does!
