Since then it apparently has undergone sea trials...at least that was my understanding. In any case, it is obsolete technology from the old Soviet Union...it's upgraded but even then it doesn't hold a candle to the U.S. fleet. It could pose a threat to countries without any naval support so I guess there could be a regional threat?
