When is enough, enough?
I condone happiness, but when it comes at the expense of others, does it become a bad thing? Rather, does the exploitation of another person to achieve happiness become legitimate?

How do you forgive someone who has exploited your money, your life, your time and your emotion?

Grudge and anger doesn't solve any issue, but does forgetting and forgiving make the issues dissolve?

I'm not angry, I just don't understand...

I'm torn as to how to respond to this.

I hope not, because I never wish death upon others but the suffering will continue if we follow this current path.

Somewhat, but it opens itself to a more broad topic of selfishness and the "service to oneself" idea.

Re: When is enough, enough?
Enough has been reached a long time ago.
When they poisoned me.
You will never enjoy me or my child, forget we exist.
My only aim is to go where you can not reach me or my son.
I only need to talk to one friend of mine so that I can inspect the mass graves...other than that I have no mission or aim on this planet.
This is a promise that shall come to pass.

Happiness isn't really achievable. You can be it, or not be it. By seeking it, one has already asserted one is not it. Anything that is achieved by seeking, is a temporary transition from a state of seeking to a state of no-seeking. Seeking will occur again, when the achieved object loses its merit.

Enough is enough when the seeker decides so -- usually by acquiring the object it has sought. But enough never stays enough, for such a seeker. For those who do not seek, what currently IS, is MORE than enough, always.

Forgiveness is a tricky thing. It helps if you imagine that the wrongs done unto you, were "fore-given" or "pre-emptively accepted" before their occurrence(s). A lot of people use the theoretical model of "life lessons" and karma to help them with this.

I am like the space which permeates all objects, and is yet undefiled. I am of the nature of Absolute Consciousness. I can now cognize my Reality to be no other than That.

Re: When is enough, enough?
Exploitation of another to attain happiness is the wrong type of happiness. Its the "physical" happiness if you will, like a well played game where you win. The more you have, the more you want. True happiness is only attainable thru stregthening the spirit or soul. It can't be based on material items and such.

You can never really forget, but if your happiness isn't based on the "material" aspects for happiness, you can forgive.

You ll never forget but the raw emotion does fade away , you need to get that person out of your life and focus on yourself it will gradually get better , not everyone is a bad person , most of us have had awful experiences with the opposite sex.....it may take years but trust me it will get better.....long story short , my ex basically moved in and scrounged off me for years , never contributed to the bills as he reckoned as it was MY house I would be paying them anyway.....I had a child with him and ended up buying all the baby things etc.....he was despicable , he does nt see his son (who is 8) but I ve moved on and wont give that twat free lodging in my head....

It sure does if you are walking the path of service to self. But you are probably not. :)
