In a few years time Europe will have older population that live long and draw out their pension but Europe will not have enough young people to work and feed in to the pension fund since the child ratio to parents is below the safe limit. |

Where will everyone hide and find food? Something to think about You think youll be on the surface forever and earth will be here forever, Thats not the case. Were due for yellowstone caldera blowup as well. Nature is the biggest depopulation tool of all and tragically it always happens, Humans have been wiped out 3 times over before. |

But first, we need to "remove" the banksters and their handpuppets in office, and build a system based on real capitalism and freedom, not debt and tyranny. Hmm, so 50 billion people each with 2 vehicles, and western standard of living? Yeah right....like that would work. One human generates so much trash and carbon emissions when they desire the modern tech western standard of living. Technology and computers and machines are also replacing the need for jobs, When all the newspaper print shops close cause we get everything online then what? What jobs will there be to go around? ALready the postal service is laying off workers and soon meat will be grown on scaffolds in ready to serve portions. No people needed for the processing plant. Advancing technology decreases jobs and the need for workers. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 276706 United Kingdom 10/05/2011 12:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Its not a myth there are tons of people.. come on get real! quality not quantity, do families really need... 6 kids ... per couple? 1 or 2 is enough! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2631136 Do a bit of research. A nation needs around 2.2 children on average to keep going. It works like this: If you have 100 kids (50 boys and 50 girls), eventually they become 50 couples and will on average have 2.2 children (50 boys and 50 girls). the 0.2 will account for death and those who do not marry etc. This 2.2 children per family will sustain the population and economy of a nation as it is but will not allow for economy to grow. Because the higher the economy of a nation grows the bigger young workforce it requires. Any nation that grows fast economically requires to increase its population and thus have more than 2.2 children per family. Clearly this is not the case in Europe. Europe has already calculated that their workforce is on decline. This is the main reason for allowing so many people to come to Europe. People who do not understand how the system works complain about people from other nations coming to Europe. Take UK as an example. Alomst every cleaner, garbage collector, bus driver, cheap workforce are all from outside, because Britain does not have the manpower to carryout these jobs. All of Europe needs another 50 million workers to be able to keep their economy going. The governments will continue bringing people from Africa and Asia etc. People will continue to complain and be racist and not realise the real reason for these people being in Europe. Think about it for a moment. Who would clean the streets or Heathrow airport and load the baggage on to plane if there were no foreign workforce. The English won't do it. They are either too lazy to work or can't do the job to high standards. So, next time you complain about imigration, think twice. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2700138 Yes. Either people take care of it in a sane manner by having less kids, or nature will take care of it. We will hit critical resource constraints of some form. We already are to an extent. Remember when everything in the store was made of metal? Now only luxury goods are built the way consumer goods used to be made. There is plenty of energy if we go solar, but we have an era of permanently high energy prices until the switch happens. Not to mention the effects of massive CO2 release. |

Vision Thing User ID: 2078628 United States 10/05/2011 12:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That was a good piece, well worth reading, I've read similar things before. P. J. O'Rourke has a chapter about the overpopulation myth in his book All the Trouble in the World, great book. I used to "believe in" overpopulation and bitch about it a lot, but then I had this realization: If there are too many people, then some of them are just "extra". If some people are just extra, unnecessary, unneeded, unwanted, superfluous, then maybe I'M one of those extra ones. Maybe I am just extra, too much, shouldn't be here, the world would be better off with me dead. If I feel like that is a bad philosophy and outlook, to think of myself as unnecessary and better off dead, then how can I apply that to other people? You, over there, you are just extra, the world doesn't need you, you shouldn't be here. I won't say that about other people, and I won't bitch about "overpopulation" any more, because the issue is, if overpopulation is a problem, "we have the technology" to solve it, if you know what I mean! Less people would be one of the easier things to achieve with the tools at our disposal! And if you believe overpopulation is so very bad, then would you get behind "the solution"? Seriously? Line 'em up and knock 'em in the ditch? Cover 'em up and walk away? It can be done! It's been done before! It's being done right now! I will not say there are "too many people" any more. |

Don't you know that basically all of our technology pollutes our planet one way or another? The more people you have, the more technology you need, the more polluted and destroyed our planet becomes. The humane solution to the overpopulation is to implement a birth stop for several years. And do it several times, if necessary. |
