Francis Piven is a real piece of work.

The following discussion illustrates why Piven is such a danger to American society.

Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured (Generated) Crisis: The Cloward-Piven Strategy of Forcing Political Change through Orchestrated Crisis.

The "Cloward-Piven Strategy" seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.

"Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis"

Excerpts:

America waits with bated breath while Washington struggles to bring the U.S. economy back from the brink of disaster. But many of those same politicians caused the crisis.

Despite the mass media news blackout, a series of books, talk radio and the blogosphere have managed to expose Barack Obama's connections to his radical mentors -- Weather Underground bombers William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, Communist Party member Frank Marshall Davis and others.

...Connect all the dots between Barack Obama and the Radical Left. He has spent most of his adult life deeply immersed in it.

He [Obama] can be tied directly to a malevolent overarching strategy that has motivated many, if not all, of the most destructive radical leftist organizations in the United States since the 1960s.

Liberals [have] a record of unmitigated legislative disasters, the latest of which is now being played out in the financial markets before our eyes [e.g. the volatility in the American stock exchanges and, thus, in all world financial markets].

Before the 1994 Republican takeover, Democrats had sixty years of virtually unbroken power in Congress - with substantial majorities most of the time. Can a group of smart people, studying issue after issue for years on end, with virtually unlimited resources at their command, not come up with a single policy that works? Why are they chronically incapable?

Why?

Either the Democrats are unfathomable idiots, who ignorantly pursue ever more destructive policies despite decades of contrary evidence, or they understand the consequences of their actions and relentlessly carry on anyway because they somehow benefit.

The goal is malevolent - the failure is deliberate. This method has a name: the Cloward-Piven Strategy. It describes their agenda, tactics, and long-term strategy.

The Strategy was first elucidated in the May 2, 1966 issue of The Nation magazine by a pair of radical socialist Columbia University professors, Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven: The Cloward-Piven Strategy of Forcing Political Change through Orchestrated Crisis.

The "Cloward-Piven Strategy" seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.

Their [Cloward & Piven's] strategy to create political, financial, and social chaos that would result in revolution blended Alinsky concepts with their more aggressive efforts at bringing about a change in U.S. government.

To achieve their revolutionary change, Cloward and Piven sought to use a cadre of aggressive organizers assisted by friendly news media to force a re-distribution of the nation's wealth

Frances Fox Piven, a taxpayer-funded professor at the City University of New York (CUNY), calls for a public uprising in the United States.

Occupy Wall Street Protest Speech by Frances Fox Piven in which she encourages the protestrs to form a movement to topple the canabals of Wall Street, their corporate greed, that has spread as a Neoliberal cancer across the world. To be successful, we must link arms with poor people, Black people, working people, and the Unions. We must all wrk together because this is ging to be the fight of our lives.

The seeds of a seemingly populist Revolution are indeed being sown.

Cloward and Piven were inspired by radical organizer and Hillary Clinton mentor Saul Alinsky, author of Rules for Radicals, a Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals.

In the Foreword of this book Alinky wrote this dedication:

"Lest we forget at least an over the shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins - or which is which), the very first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom - Lucifer.” Saul D. Alinksy

Alinky's purpose for writing Rules for Radicals is stated on page 3:

In this book we are concerned with how to create mass organizations to seize power and give it to the people;
to realize the democratic dream of equality, justice, peace.... "Better to die on your feet than to live on your
knees. This means revolution."

Thirteen Tactics for Radicals (cited in Alinky's book Rules for Radicals):

"Tactics are those conscious deliberate acts by which human beings live with each other and deal with the world
around them. ... Here our concern is with the tactic of taking; how the Have-Nots can take power away from the
Haves
." p.126

Always remember the first rule of power tactics (pps.127-134):

1. "Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have."

2. "Never go outside the expertise of your people. When an action or tactic is outside the experience of the
people, the result is confusion, fear and retreat.... [and] the collapse of communication.

3. "Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety
and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by
seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

4. "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey
their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity."

5. "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the
opposition, which then reacts to your advantage."

6. "A good tactic is one your people enjoy."

7. "A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Man can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a
limited time...."

8. "Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your
purpose."

9. "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself."

10. "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign."

11. "If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside... every positive has its negative."

12. "The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative."

13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and 'frozen.'..."...any target can always say, 'Why do you center on me when there are others to blame as well?' When your 'freeze the target,' you disregard these [rational but distracting] arguments.... Then, as you zero in and freeze
your target and carry out your attack, all the 'others' come out of the woodwork very soon. They become visible
by their support of the target...' "One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other." (pps.127-134)
