I chose not to have my daughter vaccinated with Gardasil not because I did not want her 'protected' from cervical cancer (I myself have had that), but because I felt that they have not enough data on the long term effects and side effects of the shot. I was not willing to risk my daughter in that way. Something tells me that we will find it is a major contributor to infertility and birth defects in 20 year's time.

I can imagine how the 'you must get this shot or you will get cancer' propaganda machine will be shoved down young throats at school from the time they are 8 so that when they are old enough to be vaccinated without parental consent, they won't question the effectiveness or even the need for it and just roll up their sleeves.
