I mean, we provide a
reason for why we're
giving Karma, seems
only fair the Mods
qualify their choices
for giving us the bad?

Without that feedback
how can we learn what
is and isn't 'kosher'?

It would become tit for tat, but It would be nice to add a short rebuttal like 'fuck you' 'get a life' 'lol', you get the picture. Its the lack of being able to respond that gets to me, not the bad karma. Maybe thats what Karma is all about. In the end its all B/S anyway.

Thankyou!

And you've yet to get
any -K from the mods!

Not that it's a 'major'
but I got a 'Violated

I posted recently yet
I haven't dissed anyone
on here ever, so knowing
where I've 'overstepped

ensuring my future posts
are acceptable to GLP's

If it does, and there is
mutual abuse, they can
give 'em both -K and a
brief bancation,
'restraining order' or
whatever, but at least
advise them of when the
violation occured.

I thought it was introduced
to make us more 'self-
regulating' and it seems
to be quite effective...

To many it's not and I'm
sure some thrive on -K ~
being the 'baddest' can
appeal to some.

Ironically the users who
give it more weight
probably get more abuse
via their karma than the
threads they start or the
posts they make ~ lol!

Yes, especially when the karma is just a dirty word or a put down. I could have those with pride, if I knew that it came from a posting that I really believed in.

I really believe that moderators should give better reasons and let us know what threads are involved when they give two or three thumbs down. How does dinging us solve anything, if we don't know what it was for?

It would be like getting a speeding ticket in the mail, without knowing when or where.

That defeats the purpose. The source/initiation of most of the negative, victimizing incidents that happen in your life that some people would chalk up to "bad karma" is not readily apparent. Some people say past life, some say it's from all those ants you killed as a kid.

In a way keeping karma anonymous (except at user discretion) is a good emulation of the "karma" concept as it is understood in the West.

I am NOT concerned with another
users -K sent my way, it's when
a mod gives 2 or 3 -K based on,
one would think, a valid point,
yet the actual post invovled is
not identified which leaves the
recipient not knowing when they
'Violated Posting Rules'.

Capiche?
