The mods never pin threads based on calculations, they pin gibberish and bullshit.
This thread deserves a pin, cause this is the life the so called 99% are living. Where am I supposed to get a fucking job with my engineering degree? I got laid off and now I'm working in Taco-bell for 9.5 bucks an hour!
Fucking bullshit...
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3528148 I agree that this thread should be pinned. I've followed it since it was first posted.
Ok now, weigh in with your personal opinions . . .
You say you have an engineering degree, but you're having to work at TB for $9.50 an hour . . . if you're working 40 hours, you're probably taking home somewhere around $1,200 a month which = $14,400 annually.
Now . . . obviously you aspired to more and you were somehow able to go to college and get a degree and I'm sure you expected to be reaping the rewards of those years spent in school getting said degree.
So can you say that you are HAPPY with what you are making right now? Are you able to live in a manner consistent with what you want and are comfortable with?
And do you think EVERYONE should be able to live well on what you're making AND that they should be happy and just accept it?
Is it right that millions of people just accept minimum and slight above wages . . . while the bankers and CEOs take home 7, 8, even 9-figure salaries per year and while the elected politicians take home hefty salaries with full benefits and perks?
