Especially that whole thing they were doing with their fingers....what was it called? Twinkling or some shit like that? Crazy stuff going on there. Quoting: TXGal4Truth I learned how to "twinkle" at the environmental protests at Clayoquot Sound in 1993. We also did an exercise on how to deflect abuse in a non-threatening way. I remember seeing a movie on the civil rights activists who were murdered in the 60s and they were practicing the same thing before they went down to face the real thing. That and various other gestures like "get to the point" and "wrap it up" evolved out of the practice of "concensus" government which is how these groups claim to make decisions. If they can't come to a concensus, a power struggle ensues and a majority will form a smaller concensus group purged of the dissident voices. Eventually, there is a concensus of only one, the supreme dictator! . |

I believe that many of those protesting have different reasons, which is why they don't have a "common goal" of the protesting. Some are sick of paying the high gas prices...while some are sick of paying out the whazoo for groceries...while some are sick of paying taxes to take care of those who do not want to take care of themselves...while some are protesting because they don't have jobs and unemployment will soon run out...while some are protesting because the wealthy have too much power over the markets and prices..while some are protesting because they are sick of being controlled. Nuff said....basically, I believe that people in the United States are used to leading luxury lives and never have had to struggle as they are now. They are now realizing what other countries have been going through the entire time that we threw out enough food in one day to feed a starving family of 10. |

It is funny how you didn't mention that. It is a FACT that many who were upper-middle class or even middle class are now jobless and worried about how they will pay their bills while paying outrageous prices for food and gas. These are the ones who led lives that they could pay all of their bills and still have money to play with. That money to play with is going away rapidly now...so you are saying I am wrong? |
