A drop in silver prices would be good for all the small businesses out there who use it as one of their primary mediums. People who trade it are of little consequence to those of us who USE it. It has been upward of $43/oz this year when last year and the 8 years before that, it hovered around $20/oz. That is a BIG hit to take as a small business when you purchase 100-200 oz/year which doubled our costs on that alone. Your friend obviously bought at the wrong time(April, May 2011). The hyperinflation of silver is just another bubble, just like gold. Speculation is the beast. Be prepared for some serious volatility over these next 3-6 months - shaking out the last of the paper suckers I have a 10 year history of buying silver. I remember when it was $8/oz. PERSONAL EXPERIENCE BUYING SILVER. Isn't that what I just posted? I wasn't commenting on Illuminati and silver prices. Just the purchasing and selling. I make sterling silver rings. Some cost me $0.30 to make and I sell them for $16-$24. Huge profit margin. However, he could be right or wrong. Either way, when it goes back up I will return my 2lbs of scrap and get fresh clean wire to use in return. You don't have to attempt to call my education into question or be an ass. When something of this value is 40% less than its 1980 high there is definitely no bubble my friend. |
