So sad, I have nothing to say, just adding my prayers for all concerned.

Update on Alyssa...her vitals are stable. She had a blood transfusion that was tolerated well. Mia's family is wonderful...in their time of grief they took time to come visit Alyssa today. It means alot and shows what wonderful hearts they have...

Alyssa's mom just posted this: "UPDATE: Alyssa's blood pressure and oxygen sats stayed stable through the night. The doctor thinks her pneumonia is getting better. She's still in the coma; she could be in it for up to four weeks. She's doing much better than yesterday.

that is encouraging news.. Sorry to hear about the death of the 6 year old... friend of mine lost his young daughter to car accident couple of years ago.. it was one of the hardest things i have ever witnessed to see them in such pain an grief losing their beautiful little girl...please do keep us up dated on how they are doing these next few weeks.

I hope this doesn't sound wrong, but do Mia's parents have another child? As a parent, I've always thought that losing all of your children or your only child would mean the end of everything, but if you have a child left who needs you, it would be possible to fight on. Just curious and worried about them.

I don't know anyone involved but I think you are an asshole. This really happened (have confirmed through Las Vegas papers) and I believe that OP is a relative. People of all spiritual backgrounds understand the power of prayer. I'm pretty much not a mainstream religious person but I understand the power of collective positive thoughts, and I have sent many to the people involved in this tragedy.

When my husband died, very few people gave me many encouraging and comfort words. Maybe they did not know what to say. There was only one girl that I worked with that came to the funeral and she could only stay a short while and left before the services, but she did come by to speak. As the days went by, if I even spoke about him and I really did want to talk about him, people almost cut me off.

This has been the most amazing thread to the OP and also the man whose son died this week.

This is one reason why I like this board. Maybe except for a few, we are one big family.

Bless all of you for posting on this board and I now give my words of sorry for OP. I am really sorry about this and have been thinking about the girls ever since the story came on.

Still praying until Alyssa makes a full recovery. These little ones and their families and all involved have been on my heart and mind, and in my prayers daily. Very sad for the loss of little Mia. May God bless and comfort her family.

Yes. Doctors figure about another 4 weeks or so they will keep her there. That's a long wait to see if there is any brain damage.

Im not trying to be mean or cynical in anyway, however i don't think praying is going to do anything at this point. Prehaps pushing laws on elderly people having stricter restrictions on operating heavy machinery would be a much more logical solution...I do sincerely hope that alyssia makes it through this and that Mia rests in peace...Stay strong OP

I managed to not view this thread until now. For days, I've read the thread title, asked Jesus to help the little girls, and moved on. The truth is, I'm overly empathetic and could feel the sadness and pain just reading the title. My prayers have been with the little ones from the beginning, but I couldn't bring myself to open the thread.

Then I saw the words in parentheses, "Mia Has Died".

This is so, so sad. OP, prayers for you and your sister and all those touched by the hurt and the loss of Mia. They are all such beautiful little angels. Tragic loss.

Dear God, help the parents and families of all the girls make it through this somehow, in Christ's name.

I can't wait until we're all in Heaven together and don't have to even think about painful experiences like this ever again.
