My teen boys have such appetites and are really not used to hunger or hardship. And my older one takes 4 medicines to be halfway normal and manageable since he has autism and some other issues that are severe that he was born with. Plus I am kept alive by my transplant meds. So, no, we are not so ready to rough-it, but gonna give it a go when need be. I just don't know what I will do if there is a food shortage and they both go insane for something to eat even more than already. I cannot imagine what mothers go through when they cannot feed their children, simply unimagineable, but such a reality for so much of the world, I know.
