they just changed the size of YU 55 from 175 m to 200 m ... fuckin insane .. it is gonna smoke us on the ninth


but is tonnes of things not tying together ...evcerything is happening right now im sick of explaining it ... i wish you could just know what i know ...these human bodies hold some of us back

JPL currently hold YU55 at 400m in diameter. There has been an alert issued at a 1 in 300 chance of impact. An ocean impact could cause catastrophic damage, a land impact could destroy an area the size of France.

Amen to that! Please (if you haven' already done so), take a moment to look into your heart and think about what Jesus did for you on the cross. Whether an astroid will hit or not is a matter of nature. Alot of people are disagreeing with the way the government is attempting to handle this possible catstrophe, but I don't really care about that. I assume they're doing the best they can. What's important though is this. Have a relationship with Jesus. In the end (whether the end is months or years away) that's all that matters.

NASA as of this morning said that yu55 was the size of an aircraf carrier. Now the thing that I have issue with is that there really is a media blackout with this thing, except for a few local papers that say it is no big deal. This all leads me to belive there is a chance we could get smoked.

its the 8th, not the 9th... just say'n....

It will be around 190,000 miles from Earth, no where close to a direct hit.

Alot of things going on around that date as well, makes you wonder!

Nope, it is the ninth. Go and look at it before you go correcting me. Look at the Horizons System, not the cheap orbital diagram. With the changes to Earth since this objects discovery, and the changes that NASA has made to its dimensions, there is no telling for sure though. It is definatly one to watch out for, not a global killer, but can do some serious damage.

Last time I checked, it was 399 meter.

Considering my telescope is 1 meter, they are spot on.

Horizons gives Nov 8.
