was about the size of the moon but about twice as wide bright yellowish light

Dude that is some high quality stuff. We need more ufo pics the look like a small dot in the sky with no details what so ever.

update after seeing my pic on fb another marine spouse seen same thing over camp lejeune nc

I think I saw it too!
I'm in Ventura county north of San Diego.
I saw a huge bright orange light in the sky.
It looked like a ball and it appeared to be falling.
It was aimed towards the military base near by.
My husband and I pulled over so did a few other people.
It looked like it was on fire.
Slowly it faded then seemed to turn like it was spinning.
Without a doubt it was in flames.
Then it vanished.
It could have been a number of things.
I'm hoping it will be in some article somewhere
With an explanation.
