This story is absolute nonsense - so much so that it is hysterically funny and obviously concocted. The notion of the Buddha burning in a lake in hell is right out of the wildest fantasies of a bible belt fundamentalist. Examine the teachings of the Buddha and you will discover that they are the profoundest every revealed to man, ranking alongside the teachings of Jesus. The truth of the matter is that this monk - supposing that he is not fictional - is being used as a stooge to transmit vile, intolerant Christian propaganda of the worst kind - that which attacks other faiths. Any religion that teaches that believing in some wholly man-made interpretation of the status of Yeshua ben Miriam and the meaning of his short life on this planet is more important than how one lives and treats one´s fellow human beings is a perversion of Truth and a denial of Christ, who was not a man but the Divine Spirit that is in every person made in the image of God. It allows the worst hypocracy and evil to flourish if some Christians think it does not matter what they do as long as they accept that Jesus is their saviour (whatever that means!).

I repeat - this is vile, Christian fundamentalist propaganda meant to scare the unbeliever. The philosophically sophisticated and spiritually aware will dismiss it for the silly nonsense that it is.
